A 12-year-old dog decides to adopt an orphaned newborn kitten
Morgan McKenzie was walking around her property in Delaware when she heard little screams coming from a hollowed-out log. The voice belonged to a grey and white kitten that seemed to be all alone. McKenzie decided to leave the kitten where she found it, in case the mother returned.
At nightfall, McKenzie checked the newspaper once more and realized that the little animal needed his help.
“When it started to get dark, we went back to make sure she was gone, but we could still hear her little cries,” McKenzie told the Dodo. “I was so glad we got her back because I don’t think she could have come. She was only a day or two old. She couldn’t see, her ears were still bent and she was starving.”
McKenzie named the pocket kitten Polly in honour of Polly Pocket. The kitten was covered in fleas, so McKenzie took him inside and immediately gave him a bath in the sink. Just then, 12-year-old McKenzie’s Lab Paxton came in to see what was going on. OPEN NEXT PAGE TO SEE VIDEO
