A dog was abandoned at the station with a suitcase full of his belongings
In the UK, a dog named Kai made national headlines for its heartbreaking story. The poor dog was found abandoned in a train station in Scotland – tied to a piece of luggage. In the suitcase were all of Kai’s belongings, such as a pillow, dog toys, food and a bowl of water. With no one to look after him, Kai was essentially homeless. Fortunately, the Scottish SPCA was quick to provide him with temporary love and shelter.
It did not take long for the SPCA to realize that not only did he suffer from a serious illness, but that his former owner was also suspected of physically abusing him. Kai appeared to be equipped with a microchip, but the information was only passed on to the owner who sold it in 2013, so there was no way of knowing who the owner had abandoned it that day. In Scotland, abandoning an animal is a crime. And while the details are unclear, it appears that the 2013 buyer tried to sell Kai to a Gumtree woman a few years later.Open next Page to See More
