A woman creates a “hospice” for dogs in order to give them love and dignity in their last moments
Nicola Harrison (formerly Coyle) has accepted a rewarding job, but one that always ends in heartbreak. It welcomes dying dogs and gives them the care, love and affection they deserve in their last moments.
Unfortunately, many people abandon their animals when they are terminally ill. It sounds heartless, but sometimes it’s just because of financial constraints or the inability to manage care.
Other times, it’s more selfish: people just can’t bear to see their pet die. In these cases, the animals end up dying in unknown places.
It’s really heartbreaking to think that an animal takes its last breath without a loved one giving him one last hug and saying goodbye as he deserves.
Harrison feels this pain and does something incredible to make these moments bearable for so many dogs that she can handle by opening a pet hospice in the UK.go to Next Page to See More*
