An old dog took refuge in a shelter after the death of its owner, gets on board and cries to sleep every day

The Humane Society of Quincy, Michigan, recently welcomed an elderly chihuahua named Scooter who had just lost its lifelong owner.

The grieving dog remains unusually calm in the shelter. However, it is her haunting bedtime routine that breaks everyone’s heart.

In a last-ditch attempt to help Scooter, shelter employees shared a photo of Scooter’s night ritual on Facebook.

It is sad to see that many older dogs that lose their owners face this grueling fate. They need love to heal themselves, but no one wants them.

Share Scooter’s heartbreaking story and help him find a new home.go to next Page to See More
