Beagle was abandoned at the shelter so her family could take their new dog on vacation
A Family from California on vacation in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. During their stay, they fell in love with the loveliest of the little beagles and decided to bring him up for adoption.
Six years later, the family decided to go on a six-week vacation in Hawaii. Rather than finding a babysitter for their dog (clearly they can afford to pay a babysitter for a six-week vacation), they handed the dog, named Toots, to a local shelter.
As the shelter was publicly funded, they are freely admitted and are contractually obliged to receive any animal that is returned to them on site. The shelter must also euthanize animals that have not been adopted for some time in order to make room for newcomers. Open next Page to See Video
