Corgi mother adopts orphaned Pit Bull puppies
Minnesota, after having already given birth to countless litters. She was pregnant when she was rescued and had been abandoned by the puppy breeding for being a “bad mother,” – but as soon as her puppies were born, her rescuers confirmed that this was not at all true.
“She’s been an amazing mother from the beginning,” Stephanie Easley, a volunteer with No Dog Left Behind Minnesota, told Dodo. “She is always loving and watches her puppies. She even allows and even places her puppies in the hands of her host family and watches them when they are put back in the pool.”
When a litter of puppies was recently discovered alone under an abandoned building, No Dog Left Behind Minnesota picked them up. It quickly began trying to give them the best possible care. They started feeding them by the bottle, but the puppies were so young and fragile. Their rescuers feared they would need more specialized care – and that’s when they thought of Sara.
“The rescue manager had the experience and knowledge to try to mix the two litters,” Easley said. “Thanks to Sara’s maternal instinct, the director thought she would be an extraordinary option.”
