German Shepherd’s Paternal Instincts Kick In To Care For Orphaned Fawns

Dogs are among the nicest and most welcoming animals on the planet. That’s why we love them as pets, and also why they make such good companions.

Take Sarge, for example, a German shepherd with a heart of gold. He wasn’t always so attentive, because he had a bit of a grumpy side, but all that changed when he welcomed buckwheat, a small deer.

When Cheryl Stephen, the sergeant’s owner, discovered the orphaned fawn, she immediately took it home.

That’s when the 9-year-old’s life took a turn, and he discovered a new purpose in life: to be an adoptive father for orphaned fawns.

It turned out that he finally had a tender side.

Cheryl had found Buckwheat completely alone in the middle of the road, desperately seeking help.

Once Buckwheat was brought home, it turned out that Sarge’s paternal instinct had manifested itself and that he had intervened to help raise the little baby deer.

From their first meeting, it was clear that Sarge had a sense of protection for the fawn. And that’s exactly what he did. He took the little buckwheat under his protection.Open next Page to See More Pic
