About the Irish Terrier
The Irish Terriers are the prototype of a long-legged burrow. Standing at about 18 inches to the shoulder, they are sturdy but flexible and graceful. Each body line is eye-catching and the overall picture is superbly balanced. The tight red coat is as fiery as the temperament of the breed. This is a delight for dog lovers: if your heart does not race at the sight of Technicolor terrier leaning against the greens of the Irish countryside, forget the dogs and buy a goldfish.
