Man creates “stick library” for all dogs in the park
It doesn’t take much to make a dog happy. If you give your dog a tummy rub, a snack, or a good stick, he’s pretty happy with life. Especially if they’re in the park looking for sticks.
Andrew Taylor, a 59-year-old dog owner, knows the joy that dogs get from sticks. He witnessed the excitement of his own pet – and that’s exactly what inspired his cute idea to create a “stick library” in his local park.
“Our dog Bella had become a stick lover because she was shredding balls or toys,” said Taylor’s daughter Tayla.
Taylor, originally from Kaiapoi, New Zealand, started his work by picking up a few good sticks from the pruned trees on the side of his house. After sanding and smoothing them for dogs, Taylor then created a box to store them.
As her daughter, Tayla said, “While cutting the trees, my father ended up with a lot of dead branches and knowing from experience how difficult it can be to find a good stick, and that the new park for dogs soon opened, he had the idea that he would save them and put them in a sort of box. “Open next Page To See Video
