R-B musician Randy Etter knew something was wrong with his dog, Gemini when the puppy started vomiting. Gemini’s rapid weight loss – from 95 to 70 pounds – over a very short period of time was also a concern.

The culprit? An intestinal blockage caused by the ingestion of a plastic bottle cap three weeks earlier while playing.

The verdict? Direct.

Gemini will die today if he is not operated on, the vet told Etter as they sat in the examination room.

The price? More than Etter could afford.

They went down the street. Another clinic. Another dollar figure well beyond Etter’s reach. Each time, it seemed to increase. Three thousand dollars. Four thousand. Six.

He could only look up at Gemini after each discouraging consultation and try not to think about what life would be like without his furry friend.go to next Page to See More
