Most people are attracted to beautiful, happy and healthy dogs. This is one of the reasons why they have a better chance of being adopted than those who look weird and sick.

But when Jennifer Osborne saw an Australian cattleman with a unique physical appearance in a pet store, she knew she had to take him home.

Leaving the dog would mean leaving it to someone who might abandon or belittle it, and she can’t let that happen.

“I am grateful to have had him rather than someone who would have abandoned or shot him. We think Moose was born that way,” Jennifer said.
She took the dog home and called him Moose.
