An anxious family spotted a dog and her six puppies in the snow near Red Lake, Minnesota. In such difficult conditions, the mother did her best to survive and protect her small family. Having nowhere to go, she dug a den in the snow and wrapped her body around her puppies to keep them warm.
The family rushed to the rescue of Red Lake Rosie as they desperately needed shelter and food. The mother had stopped producing milk, so her 3-week-old babies were hungry and cold.
Rescuers couldn’t believe the amazing story of the dog mom, so they decided to call her Snowbelle. “We have no idea how Snowbelle and her puppies survived,” the shelter wrote on Facebook.
Fortunately, it didn’t take long to care for the poor dogs. “After a few days of warm shelter and good food, Snowbelle started producing a lot of milk for her babies,” the rescue posted.
The puppies have grown quickly, and all but two have been adopted into loving homes. Snowbelle, now known as Asha, and two of her puppies are currently living at Pet Projects, a rescue in Nerstrand, Minnesota. They are looking for families that are willing to train and love them.open next Page to See More
