The retired nurse opens dog hospice so they can feel loved during their last moments

Some families who cannot afford to talk about caring for their sick and elderly dogs decide to abandon them. Suddenly, these dogs, who have had a wonderful life, find themselves alone and frightened in a shelter.

Can you imagine not knowing why you are abandoned and living your last days alone?

A retired nurse named Nicola Coyne decided she had to do something about it and set up the grey muzzle dog hospice project. It welcomes dying dogs that have been abandoned by their owners and ensures that they spend the rest of their lives feeling loved.

Nicola, originally from Nottingham in the UK, goes to shelters in her area and adopts two sick older dogs at once. In most cases, she tries to adopt dogs that have only six months or less to live on this land. She had a dog for a maximum of one year and a minimum of two weeks..go to next page To See More
