[UPS Driver] Saves Dog From Drowning In Frozen Pond

Ryan Arens was delivering parcels just before Christmas 2018 when he heard screams. As he passed a frozen pond in his hometown of Bozeman, Montana, he realized where the sound was coming from.

A terrified dog was stuck in the middle of the pond, and it was clear that she was going to drown if someone did not help her.

Arens immediately stopped and ran to the pond. There was an older man in a rowboat trying to save the dog, and Arens asked him if he wanted help. Arens and the older man tried to row near the dog, but the ice was too thick for the boat.

“I could see the dog trapped at about 10-15 feet from the shore, surrounded by ice,” said Arens at the Great Falls Tribune.

Arens knew what he had to do. He undressed to his boxers and plunged into the icy water.
“I undressed to my boxer and took the guy out of the boat. Then I slid the boat on the ice using it to spread my weight, “said Arens. “I ended up where the ice was thin.”Open next Page To see video
